COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — The Coeur d'Alene community is set to gather on Thursday evening for a candlelight vigil honoring Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed on Wednesday .
A Coeur d'Alene man, Patrick Wolf, organized the vigil, which will take place at McEuen Park near the Avista Pavilion at 7:15 p.m.
"This will be a time for our community to come together in unity, to remember Charlie’s impact on young people and his role in shaping the conservative movement, and to honor his legacy by standing firm in faith, family, and freedom," wrote Wolf on the Facebook event page.
The organizer asks people to bring electronic candles only, and says open flames will not be allowed.
