The Alabama Farmers Federation (ALFA) recently announced its endorsement of Amy Dozier Minton for Senate District 10, which covers all or portions of Etowah, Cherokee and DeKalb Counties.

The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state's largest farm organization with more than 365,000 members. Minton is running against incumbent State Sen. Andrew Jones (R-Centre) and Jesse Battles in the 2026 Republican primary.

"Amy Minton has proven her conservative values through her work with the local and state Republican parties," said Donald Sewell, president of the Etowah County Farmers Federation. "We are confident she will serve us well in Montgomery in the Alabama Senate."

ALFA was also one of the largest opponents against a gambling package that narrowly failed during the 2024 session. Jone
