SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Happy Thursday, Utah! We're enjoying a mix of clouds and sunshine across the state this afternoon, as an area of low-pressure pivots to our west. This will lead to another day of gusty winds across the Beehive state. The gusty southwest winds and dry air will mean an elevated fire danger for locations along and west of I-15.

Most of Utah will remain dry Thursday afternoon, but the area for isolated downpours and possibly a strong storm will exist for locations east of I-15 towards the Uinta's and across far eastern Utah. An isolated storm will also be possible for portions of NW Box Elder county.

Friday will feature a slight shift in the main moisture source. This will lead to a better chance for isolated showers & storms on Friday afternoon across most of eastern
