KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy made a quick return to the practice field following a Week 1 injury.

Worthy, who dislocated his shoulder on the third play of the Chiefs’ season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, returned to practice Thursday.

The 5-foot-11 former first-round pick was not wearing a yellow non-contact jersey, instead sporting the normal red jerseys the wide receivers wear during practice. Worthy’s right shoulder appeared to have some extra padding wrapped around it while he participated in drills.

Worthy participated in positional drills during the portion of Thursday’s practice that was open to the media. A day earlier, Worthy was not present at practice.
