Shots were fired at UMass Boston, prompting a large police response on campus Thursday afternoon, the Boston Police Department confirmed.

Sky 5 video showed students and campus employees running from a building into a nearby parking lot as they evacuated the school.

One officer was seen with a rifle from Sky5 as police officers swarmed the area.
