Knicks sign free agent sharpshooter to fill final roster spot

ESPN's Shams Charania is reporting that free agent guard Landry Shamet has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the New York Knicks.

Shamet, who had been in a pool of names New York had their eyes on to fill the final roster spot, will play for the Knicks in what will be his eighth NBA season.

The Wichita State product reportedly had other playing options, but wanted to come back to New York after last year's disappointing defeat in the Eastern Conference Finals at the hands of the Indiana Pacers.
