It was the eve of the Oklahoma State Fair when all through the fairgrounds, not a Ferris was wheeling, all was silent except for the judges of the 2025 Great TASTE of a Fair competition.

In four matchups of six dishes across the "New to the Scene," "Slice of Savory," and "Sip and Swing" categories and seven in the "Sweetest of the Sweet" round, there were 25 dishes vying for the top spots at the fair.

The official winners were crowned just before the fair opened, but with a stomach inflated after trying all 25 dishes, I think there is merit to some of the dishes, even if they didn't get the coveted title.

So, in the words of food reviewer Keith Lee, "I got it. Let's try it," and I'll tell you which are the perfect 10s.
