Neighbors complain of escorts, drugs, and break-ins near Castleberry Hill apartment complex

ATLANTA — Just steps away from Mercedes-Benz Stadium, residents say one apartment complex has become the center of crime in the Castleberry neighborhood.

"I never knew about this hidden gem back here, and since I've been living here over the last nine to 10 years, the quality of this neighborhood is going down," said one man, who asked not to be identified for safety reasons. He says prostitution and drug use are common at the Northside Plaza Apartments.

"It doesn't just affect where I live inside this community apartment; it also goes up the block," that resident said.

Data from the Atlanta Police Department's crime map shows dozens of incidents reported at and around the complex this year alone, including rapes, aggravated assaults, and drug-related crimes.
