On the heels of several heartbreaking electoral defeats, former San Francisco supervisorial candidate Marjan Philhour says, for now, she’s done running for public office.

But she’s far from done with local politics.

“I think that that door closing opened up several windows,” Philhour told The Examiner. “I feel like I’m surrounded by windows.”

Philhour, who still serves on the Democratic County Central Committee, joined Mercury Public Affairs, a political-lobbying giant, to run its new San Francisco flagship earlier this month.
