A successful programme helping people access employment in North Lanarkshire may face financial pressures in future due to changes to its funding model.
As councillors discussed a report on the performance of North Lanarkshire Council’s NL Academies programme, which provides summer placements and training for young people and adults and also promotes partnerships with employers in various industries, it was confirmed that this work will see a reduction in funding due to the replacement of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with a region-based alternative.
