(FOX40.COM) — The suspect involved in a three-person stabbing on Wednesday in North Sacramento was arrested, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Officers responded at 2:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Plaza Avenue to reports of a stabbing. Authorities stated that three victims were transported to area hospitals for their injuries.

A juvenile and an adult victim are expected to recover, SPD said. One juvenile victim is in critical condition but is stable.

Ismail Shirzad was booked at the Sacramento County Jail. Officials said the 21-year-old suspect is facing assault charges related to the stabbing incident.
