KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — In a world where digital is king, sometimes a letter in the mail makes all the difference — especially for those who have lost their dad, in one way or another, and are looking for some fatherly advice. That’s where The Dad Letter Project comes in.
“You can request a letter from a dad,” explained Andrew Vorbrich, a lawyer in Kalamazoo. “They'll say 'Things are hard for me right now because I have health issues' or 'I'm fighting for custody for my 3-year-old child' or 'I just finished a big project, and I really want someone to be proud of me.'”
Vorbrich will then handwrite a letter of encouragement, acknowledgement and even support to the unknown person in the hope that a small gesture of kindness will make a lasting impact.
