VALLEYFORD, Wash. - Spokane County deputies arrested a man they said was half-clothed on residential burglary and theft charges on Wednesday.

According to a press release from the Spokane County Sheriff's Office (SCSO), they were alerted to the burglary at around 12:55 p.m. when a resident reported seeing an unknown man enter their home on their video security system.

Deputies arrived on the scene and found a 62-year-old man exiting the back of the home. SCSO said he was only clothed with a t-shirt, which he admitted to taking from inside the house.

SCSO said deputies believed the man was under the influence of a controlled substance, so he was transported to the hospital for evaluation. He later admitted to using cocaine.
