GRANT COUNTY, Wash. – One motorcyclist was killed after losing control and crashing their motorcycle on State Route 28 eight miles from Soap Lake. After the crash, they were hit by a car going east.
The motorcyclist, who was driving east near Milepost 62, lost control for an unknown reason, wrote the Washington State Patrol in a press memo.
They were ejected from their seat and fell onto the earthbound lane, while their bike rolled into a ditch on the other side of the road.
A car that had been driving east on the same approached the scene and hit the driver who had fallen onto the road.
The motorcycle was totalled and the motorcyclist was declared dead. Their next of kin was notified.
The incident is still under investigation.
