EAST HARTFORD, CT. (WFSB) - New tonight, it’s been more than a year and the promise of thousands of new jobs and the foot traffic that comes with it has yet to materialize for the people of East Hartford. The massive Wayfair warehouse by Rentschler Field continues to sit empty.

Outside of the Cabela’s in East Hartford, it’s never too late for a donut. Mike Rittlinger owns the Faddy’s cart that sells donuts outside all day, every day, so he gets a lot of questions about the big empty building through the trees.

“People ask all the time like, what’s going on over there? But nobody knows. It’s like a big mystery,” said Rittlinger.
