NEW YORK (PIX11) -- The battle over a proposed casino in Times Square is dividing New Yorkers—supporters say it will create jobs and boost safety, while opponents fear it could damage Broadway’s future and unravel the cultural fabric of the Theater District.

On Thursday, marchers’ chants echoed through Times Square as Broadway workers, union members, small business owners, and local residents rallied in support of a casino project that would bring Caesars Palace to the heart of the city. The march led to the Broadhurst Theatre, where the second and final public Community Advisory Committee (CAC) hearing took place.
