Providence will play the first Big East men’s basketball game of the 2025-26 season.

A trip to Butler starts a winter ride that will end with the conference tournament at Madison Square Garden. The Friars visit Hinkle Fieldhouse for a Dec. 13 tip with the Bulldogs, a meeting that will begin the league schedule at large.

Jan. 7 against Connecticut, Jan. 24 against Georgetown and Feb. 14 against St. John’s are home dates to circle at Amica Mutual Pavilion. Dan Hurley, Ed Cooley and the new tandem of Rick Pitino and Bryce Hopkins will all renew hostilities with Providence downtown. The Friars will play all 10 league opponents home and away while attempting to get back on track after a difficult 2024-25 campaign.
