U.S. — In the face of what seems at times to be overwhelming darkness, a new report suggested that millions of fathers throughout the country would be hugging their kids tighter today.

With rampant violence sweeping across American cities, the report indicated that dads' hearts were overflowing with a greater appreciation for the unspeakable blessings they had been given.

"It's days like this that remind me of how blessed I am," said local father Garrett Reed as he commented on current events. "My job. Money. Whatever Jurassic Park movie is out in theaters. Who cares? I just want to hug my kids and never let go."
