Several Terre Haute city firefighters climbed 110 flights of stairs Thursday to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York City.

For the second year, the Terre Haute Casino Resort hosted the memorial stair climb. Some of the firefighters wore full gear, including an air pack and tool, which can add as much as 75 pounds.
