LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Tributes continue to pour in for Jefferson County Clerk Bobbie Holsclaw, who died this week.
Councilwoman Paula McCraney said she got her start in government because of Holsclaw, after serving as her director of public relations for eight years.
"Together, we were able to create something very special for this community," McCraney said. "Bobby was so dedicated to her role as county clerk, and she wanted to learn."
As the community continues to mourn her passing, the search is now underway to appoint her successor.
The Kentucky Constitution and statutes set requirements for filling the vacancy.
In this case, it will be Mayor Craig Greenberg who makes the appointment.
"First and foremost, our thoughts are with Bobbie Holsclaw’s family during this time of mourning," h
