GANG MILLS, N.Y. -- Lawmakers, first responders and locals gathered in Gang Mills this morning to pay respects to those lost in the 9/11 attacks 24 years ago, and to honor this year's First Responder of the Year.

Chief Glenn Vogel has dedicated over 40 years to fire service, in that time he's been able to pass along vital knowledge to his fellow firefighters. Many of whom came to the First Responders Park in Gang Mills to honor him.

On the 24th anniversary of 9/11, many gathered at the park to honor the responders lost while attempting to rescue civilians during the attacks.
