TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) — Reaction continues to pour in following the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

The 31-year-old was shot and killed at a Utah college event where thousands of students and families scattered after a single shot rang out.

The incident brings back dark emotions for students here in Florida after experiencing a mass shooting on Florida State Universities campus in Tallahassee just months ago.

Kirk traveled across the country rallying young students to get out and vote and held debates on college campuses. He was last at FSU in February 2025.
