LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Judge Beckie Palomo spoke about her path to the bench and her efforts to inspire students during a recent meeting of the Women’s Commission.
Palomo, who serves as judge of the 341st District Court, shared her upbringing and the steps that led to her judicial career. She also highlighted programs she leads, including “Courts in School,” which teaches students about the justice system.
“I use the platform that I have to create programs, to do my part,” Palomo said. “I feel like I—and all of us—have a burning sensation to do whatever it is we feel. I like to cook. I like to read. I like to have fun with my boys, and I like to encourage students to pursue greatness.”
