NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – In New Jersey, you can now turn a dead body into soil. Governor Phil Murphy signed NJ bill A-4085/S-3007 into effect on Thursday afternoon.
The bill is a bipartisan effort, sponsored by one republican and six Democrats currently in office. Jon Bramnick (R), Herbert Conaway (D), Julio Marenco (D), Shanique Speight (D), Joe Vitale (D), and Clinton Calabrese (D) were the sponsors, according to the New Jersey legislature.
