Amid growing action nationwide to combat antisemitism in places of education, a bill that seeks to address the issue in California’s TK-12 schools is swiftly working through the state Legislature.
AB 715 would establish an Office of Civil Rights, which would become home to a new antisemitism prevention coordinator position. The coordinator would be appointed by the Governor and have a broad remit to both administer antisemitism education to teachers and school administrators, as well as track and report on incidents.
