Lansing State Journal columnist Graham Couch breaks down Michigan State football’s game vs. Youngstown State, 3:40 p.m. Saturday at Spartan Stadium. TV: Big Ten Network. Betting line: N/A
1. Keeping the vibes rolling for Aidan Chiles
Michigan State quarterback Aidan Chiles won’t have to be nearly as good this week for the Spartans to win. Youngstown State is a middling FCS program with 22 fewer scholarships and without the roughly $15 million player payroll from revenue sharing. There has always been a gap between these sorts of programs. It should be wider now than ever. I don’t think the Spartans should be playing this game. But they are. And so it’s important to get something out of it.
