EVERMAN, Texas — The mother of a missing 6-year-old North Texas boy has been indicted in connection with her son's suspected death after she was recently arrested and returned to the U.S. , records show.
Cindy Rodriguez-Singh, 40, was arrested and returned to Tarrant County last month after fleeing to India in March 2023 with her husband, Arshdeep Singh, and six other children — just before an AMBER Alert was issued for her missing 6-year-old son, Noel Rodriguez Alvarez of Everman.
Rodriguez-Singh is accused of lying to officers conducting a welfare check on March 20, 2023, two days before boarding the flight to India, when she told them the boy was living with his biological father in Mexico and had been living there since 2022, officials say.
