TWO men have been arrested and refused bail after allegedly breaking into a Central West grain facility, causing around $500,000 worth of damage.

The alleged offence occurred between June 7, 2025, and June 12, 2025, at a facility in Alectown - about 24 kilometres north of Parkes.

Police were told the alleged offenders damaged wires and stole water pump equipment before leaving the scene.

Police say the estimated cost of damages is more than $484,000.

Officers attached to the Central West Police District and Rural Crime Prevention Team (RCPT) established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the alleged incident back in June.

Following inquiries, about 8.45am on Thursday, September 11, 2025, police arrested a 38-year-old man on Acacia Drive, Forbes.
