MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man was found guilty on Thursday of murdering two people in 2021 in Milan, Tennessee, according to the District Attorney General Frederick H. Agee.

Frederick Yates, 24, was found guilty on all 12 counts of the indictment: • Two Counts of First-Degree Murder • Two Counts of Felony Murder • Especially Aggravated Burglary • Two Counts of Employing a Firearm during the Commission of a Dangerous Felony • Two Counts of Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder • Two Counts of Facilitation of First-Degree Murder • Tampering with Evidence

Yates was found guilty of murdering Diamond Love, 20, and Marcus Smith, 21, on Aug. 23, 2021.

Yates was taken into custody in Ringgold, Georgia, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said in 2021.

He is being sentenced to life
