The South Coast Air Quality Management District, in partnership with Riverside County Supervisor V. Manuel Perez, will host a summit to discuss health impacts and environmental factors from dust challenges later this year in Palm Desert, it was announced Thursday.
The event will be held at 5 p.m. Nov. 6 at UC Riverside Palm Desert center’s auditorium, 75080 Frank Sinatra Drive.
It will feature presentations, a panel discussion and an interactive Q&A session from experts and community leaders.
Dust pollution has devastated the Coachella Valley though high winds across the desert, which impacts air quality and quality of life, officials said.
The summit will provide potential strategies to mitigate the impact of dust.
