The Hillcrest girls soccer team (6-0) had much more on its minds than jumping ahead in the 5A High County Conference stanings during Wednesday night's marquee battle against the Skyline Grizzlies (6-1), in which the Knights won 2-0.

A rematch of the 2024 5A District VI Championship was a crucial early test for each program, and the Hillcrest girls rallied behind a recent tragedy.
