Two Mount Airy residents killed in Sept. 11 attacks remembered 24 years later

Jennifer Vauk still remembers how the Mount Airy community rallied around her young family in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

Normally, Jennifer Vauk's husband, Lt. Cmdr. Ronald Vauk, worked in the submarine technology department at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.
