The Toronto Blue Jays have been at the top of the American League East for weeks. However, John Schneider and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. are competing with the New York Yankees for the division. Heading into Thursday's game against the Houston Astros, the Blue Jays needed a win to get back on track. Luckily for them, it was Kevin Gausman 's turn in the starting rotation.

Gausman barely struggled at all, throwing a complete game shutout in front of his home crowd. Fans showered applause down on him when the game finished, appreciating the dominant performance he treated them to.
