CORFU - Members of the Pembroke, Corfu and East Pembroke fire districts received recognition and thanks from the Pembroke Town Board for their response to the Aug. 22 fatal tour bus accident on the Thruway.

During its meeting Thursday night, the board passed resolutions and Town Supervisor Tom Schneider Jr. presented commendations to representatives from each fire district.
