CLEVELAND, Ohio — After a stretch of cooler-than-normal weather in Northeast Ohio, temperatures are finally poised to climb back into the summer-like range heading into the weekend.

High pressure anchored to the north will keep skies mostly clear and conditions quiet, allowing for a steady warming trend to take hold heading into the weekend.

Highs Thursday will be much like Wednesday, topping out in the mid to upper 70s for most spots. By Friday, readings should tick up a degree or two, with low humidity making for crisp mornings and comfortable afternoons.

Overnight lows will remain on the cool side, dipping into the 40s and 50s thanks to clear skies and light winds.
