SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - A Greene County jury on Thursday found a Springfield man guilty of all seven charges against him, including first degree murder, for the shooting death of a man in 2023.

Xavier Moore, 24, was also convicted of assault and armed criminal action, among other charges. He’ll be sentenced in November.

In 2023 Lavelle Rose III, 18, from East St. Louis, Ill. was shot and killed while riding in a car at Calhoun Street and Forest Avenue. His grandmother, who was driving the car, was also shot and survived.

The man believed to have driven the getaway vehicle, Justin Bartels, 23, pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence in November, 2023. He was given a suspended prison sentence and placed on probation.
