PROVO, Utah (ABC4) — The driver who allegedly went to the emergency room after a rollover, leaving behind a passenger who passed away, has been arrested for the victim's death.

Zachary Ingalls, 31, of Orem, has been arrested and is being held on one count of automobile homicide. He has not been charged yet.

On Aug. 1, 2025, a woman was found deceased after a rollover crash on Kyhv Peak Road. The victim was later identified as Kortnie Benson Barajas, 33.

In August, the Provo Police Department said that a man checked into an emergency room in Provo and was treated for head and leg injuries. Shortly after 7 a.m., he reportedly told medical staff that he was involved in a rollover crash, and another person was still in the vehicle.
