FOREST ACRES, S.C. (WIS) - Forest Acres Police are investigating a shooting that left one injured on Thursday.

Around 7:26 p.m., officers with the Forest Acres Police Department responded to a call reporting a shooting at The Landings Apartments, located off Covenant Road.

Police said they were on scene within three minutes of the reported call.

According to officers, an adult male victim was shot in the arm and was taken to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery.

At this time, police say his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Officers described a ‘chaotic’ scene with witnesses suggesting the suspect had fled in multiple directions. Based on this information, FAPD expanded the search perimeter and requested assistance from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department,
