TYLER, Texas — The Tyler Rail and Regional Transit Study is entering its final stage, and the city is looking to collect input from residents.
The Tyler Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is asking city residents to complete a survey and attend a virtual town hall on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. The town hall can be found here on that day and time.
Both the survey and the town hall meeting are concerned with the possible addition of a light rail service in Smith County.
The high-speed light rail would run along the Interstate 20 corridor.
"Community feedback will guide the final recommendations and ensure that transit plans meet the needs of Smith County residents," a news release from the city said.
