MADISON (WKOW) -- President Donald Trump has approved federal disaster assistance for Wisconsin. The decision is set to provide approximately $30 million to aid the state.
The funding will assist residents in recovering from major storms and flooding experienced in August. Gov. Tony Evers requested federal assistance to address damage in six counties, including Grant and Milwaukee.
In a statement, Gov. Evers said, "I will continue to urge the Trump Administration to approve the remainder of my request, and I will keep fighting to make sure Wisconsin receives every resource that is needed and available."
