GARDEN PLAIN, Kan. (KSNW) - Cate Dugan is a trailblazer. The only girl on a roster of boys, Cate etched her name in the history books when she got the call-up to the varsity level for Garden Plain football.

Football at Garden Plain High School is built on high expectations, strength, and now breaking barriers. Cate is in her first season at the varsity level after years of playing soccer, and her game has translated pretty well.

"I know I can make them [field goals]. So just make sure that I remember that I can make it and not worry about it too much," Cate said.
