A pair of Scots siblings are calling on people to visit their doctor after being diagnosed with the same terminal illness. ‌

Lorrainne and Allan, from Aberdeenshire, were diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. Sadly, this was not the first time they had heard of the condition as this is the same illness that their father and uncle passed away from. ‌

Pulmonary fibrosis means there is scar tissue in the lungs - pulmonary relates to the lungs whilst fibrosis means scarring. This scarring can make it harder for your lungs to work as they should and it makes breathing difficult. ‌

September marks awareness month for their illness and speaking to charity, Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, the pair have given an insight into how scary it can be, reports Aberdeen Live .
