COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho – Residents of Coeur d'Alene gathered at McEuen Park to honor Charlie Kirk, joining communities nationwide in holding vigils.
Candles, prayers and reflection filled the park as attendees came together to remember Kirk, focusing on faith, family and freedom. Fallon Guerin, a student at North Idaho College and Coeur d'Alene resident, shared the impact Kirk had on her life.
"I came here today because of the simple impact that Charlie Kirk had on my life. The last 24 hours, I truly don't think I have cried over someone that I truly have never met before… he just had such an impact on my generation," Guerin said.
The vigil was described by many as a night of remembrance, shifting away from politics and emphasizing a call for unity. Jamie Birch, a Coeur d'Alene resident,
