Actor Steven Weber marked the 24th anniversary of the September 11 attacks with a heartfelt tribute to “Wings” creator David Angell and his wife Lynn, who were killed aboard American Airlines Flight 11 when it struck the World Trade Center in 2001.

Weber, who starred on the NBC sitcom from 1990 to 1997, shared his remembrance on Instagram , writing:

“We lost these two lovely people — David and Lynn Angell — on this day 24 years ago. The sheer hatred of decency, compassion, empathy and wisdom that did this is, sadly, still with us. Miss you guys.”

Fellow “Wings” star Amy Yasbeck commented on Weber’s post, calling the Angells “the kindest, most loving couple” and describing their deaths as “a devastating loss for all who knew them.”
