LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Quiet weather continues to be the biggest story in the weather department as we head into the upcoming weekend.

We’re starting off on a little milder note this morning as you head off to work and school with most areas staying in the lower 70s.

Humidity has slowly increased over the last 48 hours and that is keeping us warmer and also more humid through the afternoons.

Plenty of sunshine is expected through our Friday and that is going to really help boost temperatures for the second half of the day as we top out in the middle 90s.

Rain chances remain stray at best through the afternoon and evening, so those with outdoor plans look to be just fine!
