All the countries UK tourists must pay £17 fee to enter from 2026

British tourists are facing a shock as the cost of entering Europe has nearly tripled from what the European Commission initially proposed.

The Etias fee was originally set at €7 (£6) but has now climbed to €20 (£17).

Which? cautioned: "Another change British travellers should prepare for is the introduction of the European Travel Information and Authorisation Scheme (Etias), otherwise known as a visa-waiver scheme.

"When it kicks in, which is not expected until late 2026, holidaymakers will need to apply online and pay a fee of €20 (around £17) before travelling. The authorisation is expected to be valid for three years, or until your passport expires.", reports Birmingham Live .
