WASHINGTON COMMANDERS star Deatrich Wise broke down in tears as he was carted off the field.

Defensive End Wise, 31, was inconsolable as he left the field during the Commanders' 27-18 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 2.

He was carted off Lambeau Field in the second quarter with what appeared to be a lower leg injury, with ESPN’s John Keim later reporting it was a left quadriceps issue.

It came after a Packers player fell on the 2018 Super Bowl winner's leg, with NFL analyst Sam Monson noting on social media he was "bawling his eyes out".

Wise, who was signed on free agency in March with a $3.25million contract, managed to raise his right hand as the crowd applauded him off the field.
