The mum and dad of a child who was severely injured during the Southport attack have shared the horrifying exchange between them and their daughter after she was stabbed multiple times.
During the Southport Inquiry yesterday (September 11), the mum of the unnamed child, who is referred to as C5 to protect her identity, relayed the harrowing events of July 29 2024.
The mother shared how she had been outside of the Taylor Swift-themed dance party at the time when she saw her little girl running towards her, her clothes "covered in something."
She told Liverpool Town Hall: "At first I thought it must be paint, but I soon realised it was blood. She heard me call her and ran back to me. Telling me as she did 'mum, I’ve been stabbed.'
