Rochester police are investigating after two mail carriers were robbed in separate incidents on Thursday, Sept. 11.
The two robberies took place within less than an hour - at 3:20 p.m. on Clifford Avenue, near Joseph Avenue, in northeast Rochester, and at 4:07 p.m. at Depew and Forbes streets in southwest Rochester, said Lt. Michael Azzolina of the Rochester Police Department.
In both encounters, several people robbed the mail carriers of property, Azzolina said. Police used K-9 units to try to track the alleged suspects in both incidents, but did not locate anyone. No charges were filed in connection with either robbery.
An investigation is underway. Anyone who witnessed either incident or has video is asked to call 911.
