ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police are investigating after two mail carriers were robbed in separate incidents Thursday afternoon.

The first robbery was reported just before 3:30 p.m. on Clifford Avenue. Police say unknown suspects stole property from the carrier before fleeing. A police K-9 attempted to track the suspects but was unsuccessful.

About 45 minutes later, officers responded to Depew and Forbes streets just after 4 p.m. for a report of people attacking another mail carrier. Investigators say that carrier was also robbed of property. A second K-9 search was unsuccessful.

No suspects are in custody. Police say both investigations are in the early stages.

Anyone who witnessed the incidents or has video is asked to call 911.
